40 wedding guest video prompts that get real answers

The hardest part of a video message is the first five seconds. A good prompt removes them. Pick a handful, put them on your table cards or sign, and guests will have something to say before the camera starts.

Ready to use these prompts?Put a few on your ReelKept table cards and guests will know exactly what to say. See how ReelKept works.

Tips for shy guests

How to turn prompts into a card

Pick three prompts: one easy, one funny, one meaningful. Put the easy one first so guests start quickly. Leave white space, keep the type large, and print the QR code beside the prompts, not below the fold of the card. Guests glance at a card for a few seconds, so shorter beats longer.

Questions people ask

How many prompts should I print?

Three to five on each card is plenty. Too many looks like homework. Pick one easy opener, one funny, and one meaningful prompt.

Can guests ignore the prompts?

Yes. They are suggestions. Many guests will just say hello and a wish, and that is wonderful.

What if a message is too personal?

You choose what to share. In ReelKept, the host gets the film and the message reel first and decides who sees them.

Do these prompts work for other events?

Most of them do. Change "wedding" and "couple" to your own event and name. Our baby shower and reunion guides have prompts for those events.
