Privacy Policy
YourSpace LLC
Version 1.0 — Effective upon publication on the Platform
This Privacy Policy explains how YourSpace LLC ("Company," "we," "us"), collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Platform. It is part of the Terms of Service. By using the Platform you agree to it.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us: name, email address, event details (event name, date, venue description, preferences), account and login information, purchase and gift information (we do not receive or store full card numbers), messages to support, and your answers and settings.
1.2 Content: video, photos, audio, booth recordings, voice and image as they appear in them, transcripts and captions generated from audio, reactions, clip titles and similar information you or others provide, and metadata such as file type, size, duration, time and device model.
1.3 Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type and model, operating system, language, app version, app installation identifier and (on iOS) the identifier for vendor, session identifiers, crash and performance data, pages and features used, and approximate location inferred from IP address. We do not collect precise location unless you allow it for a feature that needs it. We use these identifiers only for the Platform's operation, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal compliance. We do not use them to track you across other companies' apps or websites or for advertising.
1.4 Activity and consent records: we keep an activity log that records who took each action on the Platform and for which event. It includes the full name you provide, your user or session identifier, the event, the actions you take (joining, uploading, viewing, deleting, reporting, blocking, downloading), a unique fingerprint, size, type and time of each file you upload, the document version you accepted, the exact checkbox wording shown, the time, your IP address and the device and app details described above. For Hosts and our team, it also records approvals, retries, deliveries and administrative actions.
1.5 Payment information: payments are processed by Square, Apple or Google. They give us limited information such as transaction status, amount, date, payment brand and the last four digits of a card. We do not receive full card numbers.
1.6 Communications: emails and messages we send and receive, including delivery and engagement data from our email delivery provider.
1.7 Information from others: Content and information that other users upload about you, such as when you appear in recordings.
1.8 We do not use face recognition, voiceprints or other biometric identification, and we do not create or store biometric templates. We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: provide, operate and secure the Platform; create, review, revise and deliver Films; transcribe and caption Content; synchronize and analyze clips; screen Content for safety and policy compliance; process payments and prevent fraud; send service messages (receipts, setup help, reminders, delivery and security notices); provide support; enforce our terms and protect rights, safety and property; comply with law; keep records and evidence; analyze and improve the Platform and our own tools; and communicate with you about features and offers where the law allows and with your opt-out rights respected.
3. Automated Processing and Review
We use automated tools, including machine-learning and artificial-intelligence-based tools provided by us and by service providers, to analyze, select, sequence, transcribe and screen Content. Company personnel may view Content to review Films, provide support, moderate, investigate abuse and comply with law. We do not use your Content to train general-purpose models owned by third parties. We may use de-identified and aggregated information, and information about review actions on our own Films, to improve our own tools.
4. How We Share Information
4.1 With the Host and other Users: Content and information are shared with the Host and with Users of the Event as the Platform provides, including in Films. Hosts may share Content and Films with others, and we do not control those further uses.
4.2 With service providers who work for us: cloud hosting and storage (including Google Cloud and Firebase), payment processing (Square, Apple, Google), email delivery (such as Resend), media processing and automated-processing providers, analytics, customer support, security and fraud prevention. They may use information only to provide services to us under their agreements.
4.3 For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, subpoenas and legal process; to enforce our terms; to protect rights, safety and property; to respond to claims, disputes and chargebacks; and to report child exploitation as required.
4.4 Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, sale or transfer of assets, with notice if required by law.
4.5 With your direction or consent.
4.6 Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you may be shared without restriction.
5. Cookies, Analytics and Similar Technologies
We and our providers use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to operate the Platform, keep you signed in, remember settings, measure use and secure the service. You can control cookies in your browser, but some features may not work. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals except as the law requires.
6. Push Notifications and Email
6.1 The iOS and Android apps may send push notifications about your Event, delivery and account. We ask for permission after you have seen the value of the feature, not at first launch. You can change this in your device settings. The apps do not send push notifications while you are recording or taking pictures in the app; any notices are held and delivered afterward.
6.2 We send service emails as needed. We send marketing emails only where permitted and you may unsubscribe in any marketing message. You may not opt out of important service and legal messages.
7. Retention
7.1 Event Content, Films and original uploads are kept in the Keepsake Vault. We aim to keep them for about seven (7) years after delivery, but we do not promise it, and the Service may end at any time, including without notice. Storage is subject to the storage caps, inactivity rules, discontinuation notice, deletion rights and legal removal described in Section 9 of the Host Event Agreement, and subject to Section 7.2.
7.2 We may keep information longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, keep security and fraud records, and maintain consent, payment, review, delivery and activity records as evidence. Activity and consent records (including names, IP addresses, device and app identifiers and file fingerprints) are kept for seven (7) years after the Event date, or longer if needed for a legal hold, claim or investigation, even if you delete your account or your Content. They are kept separately from the Content itself. Backups are deleted on a rolling schedule.
7.3 De-identified information may be kept without limit.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures. No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee security and are not liable for unauthorized access beyond what the law requires. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and event links secure.
9. Your Choices and Rights
9.1 You may access, update or delete certain information in the app and on the Platform, including account deletion and data deletion tools for hosts and guest sessions.
9.2 Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or port personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising rights. To make a request, use the Privacy Requests page on the Platform or contact us through the Support page. We may verify your identity and may deny or limit requests as the law permits, such as where Content is already in a delivered Film, belongs to the Host or another person, or must be kept for legal reasons. You may appoint an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny a request, you may appeal through the Privacy Requests page.
9.3 A parent or guardian may request deletion of information about a minor through the Privacy Requests page.
10. Account and Data Deletion
You can start deletion of your account, event data and guest session in the app and on the Platform. Deletion has the limits in Section 7.7 of the Terms of Service and Section 7 of this Privacy Policy.
11. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Guests who are 13 to 17 may use the Platform only with a parent or guardian's permission. Recordings may incidentally include children; hosts are responsible for permissions as the Terms state. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review and deletion.
12. International Users
The Platform is intended for use in the United States. If you use it elsewhere, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where laws differ from those of your country.
13. State Privacy Notices
Residents of some states have additional rights. We apply the rights described in Section 9 to all users where feasible. In the past twelve months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 1 for the purposes in Section 2 and disclosed them to the recipients in Section 4. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version and update its date. Where required, we will give more notice or ask for consent.
