Before a child is asked to write anything, Lumi narrates what the skill is and shows an example — what makes a strong topic sentence, how a paragraph is organized, why a transition word helps a reader follow along. Kids never have to decode dense instructions on their own.
Instead of "write an essay" with no scaffolding, lessons build the skill in pieces: choosing the best topic sentence from options, putting scrambled sentences into the right paragraph order, filling in a graphic organizer before drafting.
