How it works

  1. Pick annual or lifetime. Both include up to 8 kids, Pre-K through 12th grade, Lumi High and Lumi Lingo.
  2. Open your parent dashboard. Your numbered seat is assigned in order, and the counter above goes down.
  3. Keep it. Lifetime seats are yours for good. Annual seats last as long as the annual subscription stays active.

What is a Lumi Founding Family seat?

A numbered seat given to the first 1,500 new annual or lifetime Lumi Academy families. Seat holders get access to every Lumi product we release, a Founding Family badge and number on their dashboard and Learning Story keepsake, and a seat on the Founders’ Council, where you can vote on ideas before we add them (advice we weigh, not a binding vote).

How do I get a seat?

Choose an annual plan or the lifetime pass. Your seat is assigned automatically, in order, the first time you open your parent dashboard after your plan is active.

Does a lifetime member keep the seat forever?

Yes. Lifetime members keep their seat and access to every Lumi product we release.

What happens to an annual member's seat if they cancel?

An annual seat lasts as long as the annual subscription stays active. If the subscription is cancelled or lapses, the seat is voided and released for another family.

What counts as every Lumi product?

Every product released under Lumi Academy while your seat is active. Today that includes Lumi Academy, Lumi High, Lumi Lingo and the Curriculum Vault.

I am already an annual or lifetime member. Do I get a seat?

Founding seats are for new annual or lifetime memberships started from launch day, and for monthly members who upgrade to annual. Families who were already paying annual or lifetime keep their plans exactly as they are.

Can I transfer or sell my seat?

No. A seat belongs to the family account that holds the plan.

What is the Founders’ Council?

Seat holders join the Founders’ Council and can vote on ideas before we add them. Each idea is open for 72 hours. Votes are advice we read and weigh, not a binding vote: we make the final call, and a vote does not promise any feature, change or reward. We are also never required to ask the Council before adding or changing anything.

Is the count real?

Yes. The number on this page is read live from our records, so it is the same for everyone, anywhere. Nobody is ever renumbered: if an annual seat is released, its number goes to the next family.
